The campaign will be launched on October 28th, 2018 at 2.15 PM CET
(note that this is the day we move from CEST to CET). Stop by booth 4D124 to help us celebrate!
Sierra Madre Games and Ion Game Design will as usual attend SPIEL 2018 in Essen, Germany. The fair runs between October 24th and October 28th. If you are at the fair, please stop by our booth 4D124 (same place as last year).
You can help us a lot by clicking the “thumbs up”-icon and “Interested” or “Must Have”-button on the BGG Essen 2018 list. See the links below. If you follow them, do the clicking and also share them in your network it would mean a lot. If you are interested in joining any of the playtests, you may come to the booth at the fair and reserve a seat. The spots are limited so you can also reserve a seat in advance using the links to the right below:
At our 6 tables at Spiel Messe Essen you can try all the games for sale or on the new kickstarter: Neanderthal, Greenland, Pax Emancipation and Expedition Zetta, Pax Transhumanity (prototype) and Bios:Origins 2 (prototype). In addition to this, there will be an opportunity to playtest HIRÞ – The Viking Game of Royal Conflict and an early prototype of a future game that we are working on: Heroes of the Board (working title, early prototype).
Expedition Zetta has had some delays at manufacturing but the production is now running smoothly and the games should soon be ready to send to the warehouses. We are hoping to be able to start shipping Expedition Zetta to backers/pre-oreder buyers outside Europe in late October.
With only four days left do not miss out on the Kickstarter campaign for Pax Pamir.
Cole Wehrle has created Pax Pamir an historical game for 1-5 players about politics and power in nineteenth century Afghanistan.

The new upcoming game Pax Transhumanity by Sierra Madre Games (expected release next year) and the game designers, Matt Eklund has made it to Board Game Geek’s Hottness list 🙂

In beginning of January Sierra Madre Games long awaited new redesigned editions of Neanderthal and Greenland by Phil Eklund was launched on Kickstarter and was funded within 27 minutes. Ion Game Design is runing this Kickstarter campagin for Sierra Madre Games. To back the campaign see the link here.
Ion Game Design was at SPIEL 2017 in Essen and had the fun task to arrange play test sessions 🙂 We had a steady stream of people interested in playing Expedition Zetta. Some of them were backers. It was really nice to meet some of our backers who came to our booth, to try out Expedition Zetta or just to say hello.
Expedition Zetta’s kickstarter campagin got 132% funding thanks to our wonderful backers, much more than we could have hoped for when launching the kickstarter.
Through the campaign there was several additional components that got funded and will be added to the game i.e.; 6 more quick Zetta planetary systems upgraded game components 5 more alternative planets a new ship card with unique 3d figurine 22 additional cards through pledge levels, such as five new countries and their included flag markers (17 per country)

We would like to share a review we got for our Vikiing game – HIRÞ
“”The depth of strategy available to you in such a straight forward design is incredibly well done…they got it right so well that I can’t think about anything I want to change about the game. There is always something you want to change when you play games, but not with HIRÞ”.
“”The presentation of this game is outstanding! I have no problem believing this is a real Viking game, hats off to them!””
