It’s been two weeks since SPIEL 2025 in Essen, and we’re still smiling from all the incredible moments we shared with players, partners, and friends from around the world.
Every year, SPIEL reminds us why we do what we do, there’s simply nothing better than meeting players face to face, hearing your stories, and seeing our games come alive at the tables.
Days to Remember
This year’s SPIEL was one of our most exciting yet. Our booth was buzzing from day one, and we were thrilled by the response to our games.
Dino Dynasty stole the show, selling out in just 1.5 days!!!
We couldn’t be prouder of this dino-filled strategy game, the result of months of development, illustration, and fact-checking by our talented team.
Third Crusade, Pax Hispanica, Pax Illuminaten, Kartini: From Darkness to Light, and Vendel to Viking all received amazing feedback from players and reviewers alike. It was inspiring to see so many people engage with the historical and thematic depth that defines our games.
Playtesting the Future
We also hosted live demo playtests for two upcoming titles,
Arrival and Atlas: Explore the World.
It was fantastic to see players dive into these prototypes and share their feedback directly with our designers. Moments like these help us fine-tune every mechanic before the games reach your tables.
Community Events: Game Jam & Secret Treasure Hunt
Beyond demos and sales, we wanted to make SPIEL even more interactive this year.
Our Game Jam gave participants the chance to design new ideas within just 90 minutes, with prizes in collaboration with our ION Publishing Service.
The ION Secret Society Treasure Hunt returned as a fan-favorite! Adventurous players followed cryptic clues across the convention to earn exclusive rewards and a place among our secret ranks.
