ION Game Design ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and that of your children. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information in our digital games, in full compliance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, COPPA) and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines for apps in the Kids Category.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate and improve our apps:

  • Device Information:
    Device type, operating system version, and IP address (used to determine country of install).

  • Usage Data:
    Game events, levels completed, session length, button taps.

  • Performance Data:
    Crash reports, memory usage, frame rates.

  • Purchase History:
    In-app purchase events, used to fulfill and restore purchases.

  • Pseudonymous Identifiers:
    Internally generated and used to save progress, personalize the experience within the app, and control ad frequency.

We do not collect personally identifiable information from children.

 

2. Why We Collect It

Data is used strictly for:

  • Operating and improving the game.

  • Supporting game progress and in-app purchases.

  • Analyzing gameplay to improve design and balance.

  • Delivering age-appropriate contextual advertising only.

  • Preventing fraud and ensuring app security.

 

3. Third-Party Services

We use:

  • Unity Analytics - for internal analytics only.

  • Unity Ads - for non-personalized, contextual advertisements suitable for children.

We do not allow personalized ads, tracking across apps, or use of collected data for behavioral targeting.

4. Ad Content Review and Age Appropriateness

We understand the importance of protecting children from inappropriate ad content.

  • All ads shown in our app are non-personalized and contextual.
  • We rely on Unity’s human-reviewed ad approval system, which includes:
    • Manual review of creatives.
    • Filters to block inappropriate categories.
    • Specific child-friendly ad settings for iOS apps.

Additionally, we monitor the ad experience ourselves and will promptly report and block any ad that appears inappropriate. Our app is strictly flagged as directed to children within the Unity Ads dashboard to ensure these controls are enforced.

5. Parental Controls

We implement parental gates before:

  • Initiating any in-app purchases.
  • Accessing external links or content.

No external websites, social media links, or contact forms are directly accessible to children without passing a gate.

 

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is securely stored by Unity Technologies and other service providers with industry-standard encryption and access controls. We do not store any personal data on our own servers.

Under applicable law (e.g., GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access your data.
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Object to or restrict data use.
